Learning Outcomes

Course Content (Syllabus)
In the course "TRANSPORT LAW" students come into contact for the first time and are taught the legal framework governing land (road) and air transport at national and international level.The aim of the course is on the one hand to familiarize students with basic concepts of Land and Air Transport Law, and, on the other hand, to gain a first substantial comprehensive understanding of this branch of Commercial Law.In fact, special emphasis is given to the responsibility of the land (road) and air carrier; a responsibility that has occupied and still occupies, to a significant degree, the Greek jurisprudence.The course includes the following teaching modules: A) Land Tansport Law: 1. Land transport contract. 2. Order of transport by land 3. Contemporary forms of transport (succesive,combined and mixed) 4. CMR Convention (mandatory nature of the provisions) 5. Liability of the international road carrier (content and conditions of liability, release from liability) B) Air Transport Law: 1. Air transport according to the Montreal Convention 2. National or inland transport according to ALC 3. EU Law 4. Liability of the international and national passenger air carrier.
