Learning Outcomes
A successful graduation from this class will allow the student to:
- understand the general training and biomechanical principles of swimming
- apply specific swimming training and technique to participants in swimming clubs
- combine theoretical and applied knowledge in issues regarding teaching the technique, tactics, as well as strength and conditioning in swimming
- detect mistakes in the technique and to describe them in a comprehensive way so that the can be corrected
- plan training programs from competitive swimmers
- evaluate the efficacy of specific swimming training programs and to adapt them on the requirements of each athlete
- combine knowledge from physiology, biomechanics, psychology, strength and conditioning, and didactics, for competitive and innovative training programs and methods used to improve performance in swimming
