Learning Outcomes
The main objective of the course is to help students to:
Understand basic sociological concepts
Understanding basic research tools of sociology
Analyze social phenomena using sociological tools
Analyze and understand the functions of education and educational problems
Formulate research questions using theoretical tools of sociology of education
Understand the functions and in particular the social functions of preschool education
Understand of the social role of kindergarten
Analyze and understand the social functions of preschool education
Formulate research questions about the nursery education and its functions
Understand the concept of social vulnerability
Understand the concept of social cohesion
Understand the concepts of "social inequality" and "educational inequality"
Understand the social and countervailing role of education
Research problems in formulating educational policy issues
