Course Content (Syllabus)
Basic concepts of agricultural macroeconomics. The position of agriculture in a country's economy. Factors of production and their use in agriculture. Organization of agricultural production. Technology and agricultural production. Employment, efficiency and agricultural income. Agriculture and Development. Agricultural macroeconomics methodology. The macroeconomic variables of Greek agriculture. Basic principles of comparative economic systems, theories, economies, agricultural economies, types and industries. Comparison of the agricultural economy of Greece versus other countries. Comparison of types and sectors of production in Greece.
