Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. to handle and solve problems of hydraulics with open and pipe channelsl 2. to design works of water flow reguation and measure. 3. to collaborate and designing case studies of water flow in irrigation networks 4. to find solutions for problems of water transfer and distribution in irrigation networks and ather hydraulic works

Course Content (Syllabus)
Application of the continuity, energy and momentum equations to the solution of applied hydraulics problems. Devices and structures for flow measurements in pipes and open channels. Design of dam spillways. Overflow spillway, side channel spillway, siphon spillway and chute channel spillway. Structures for energy dissipation. Design of drop structures and stilling basins. Design of transitions in open channels for subcritical and supercritical flow conditions. Flow in curved channels. Layout and hydraulic design of open channels..
