Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. Recognize the role and the importance of "sustainability" in agriculture and understand how the "Sustainable Development of Agricultural Resources" can improve decisions in management of agroecosystem. 2. Obtain knowledge with a broad range of concepts of "sustainable management of natural resources", technics and tools useful for sustainable management of agroecosystems. 3. Develop critical thinking skills for enabling application of "Sustainable Development of Agricultural Resources" in Agricultural Sciences.

General principles and definitions, National and European strategy on sustainability. International conventions, Intergovernmental agreements and concerted actions that contribute to sustainability. Classification of natural resources. Energy resources. National strategy for Energy resources. Carbon footprint. Effective use of natural resources. National strategy for natural resources. Biodiversity as a resource. National biodiversity strategy.
