Course Content (Syllabus)
The 7th century is the end of Late Antiquity and the beginning of the so-called Dark Ages. The Byzantine Empire has fallen into dire crisis due to external threats and loss of important territories. Therefore, a series of Reforms must make the state able to survive the crisis. The lessons examines the key events of the era, but also the individual frames within which stood the momentous changes of the Period.
