Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, students will:
-Ηave initiated the transition from the exercises with a given topic (nude model, still life, photography) to personal research and creation of a proposal in individual workshops (personal studio).
-Be able to elaborate on a proposal, with research around artists and art movements, with which the work has common features.
-Have researched how they can create strategies for processing the autonomous projects they are called upon to create in their personal studio.
-Have experimented with different painting approaches around the elaboration of a central idea that can be the core of a series of works.
Course Content (Syllabus)
Supervised personal work with emphasis on the transition of the student from the exercises with a given subject (nude model, still life, photography) to personal research and creation of a proposal in individual workshops (personal studio).
Elaboration of the proposal with research around artists and art movements, with which the work has common features and creation of method and strategy of elaboration of these works.
In the form of seminars, emphasis is placed on issues of professional practice (creating a portfolio, organizing exhibitions, etc.) in order to fully understand the student's problems, but also their potential within the artistic professional space.
