Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, students will:
-Have the ability to draw the visible subject, set up in the studio (human model, still life, etc.), with correct proportions, on life-size paper (180x130cm), with increased quality.
-Be able to produce life-size drawings (180x130cm) with shading in which to successfully organize the basic elements of a drawing, such as plasticity, depth, perspective, mark making, atmosphere, density and dilution, abstraction and directional prioritization of these individual elements.
-Be able to render in drawing the subjects from observation with ease, using charcoal, pencil, graphite, ink, pastels and other drawing materials.
-Have the ability to use sketching in the studio as well as in nature as a preparatory tool for larger studies, as a final project, and as a tool for solving visual problems.
-Ηave to some extent developed a personal drawing vocabulary.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Drawing exercises in the studio, with increased requirements, from a live model set up in the studio (human model, composition of objects), on life-size paper (180x130cm) with materials such as charcoal, ink, acrylics, pencil, pastels and more.
Quick sketch exercises in smaller sizes, which extend to nature studies outdoors, with the aim of using sketching as a method of practicing drawing, as a preparatory tool for larger studies, as a final autonomous project, as well as a tool for solving artistic problems.
Second cycle of seminars and studies on contemporary artists who have chosen the language of drawing as an artistic proposition.
Student research on the course and evolution of drawing in the history of Art, and its place today. The research is done with bibliography in the library, on the internet and in visits to museums, galleries, Art Fairs, and Biennials of Contemporary Art.
In the form of seminars, emphasis is placed on issues of professional practice (creating a portfolio, organizing exhibitions, etc.) in order to raise issues and develop students' potential within the artistic professional space.

Description
Visual Presentations (projections) take place during the course, and image processing software is available.
Online visits to galleries, museums and press articles are suggested and being used through the studio and library.
Students use e-mail as a direct means of communication and have access to the studio's announcements posted on the Department's website.
