Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, students will develop critical thinking skills and the ability to solve complex design problems.
They will design solid forms and structures emphasizing developing new ideas with spatial applications.
They will gain a theoretical background.
They will deepen their research through design exercises on the human form and on objects from nature or free subjects. They will understand the dynamics of the human form and its movement in space through plastic sketches and experiment with new design media and malleable materials.
Course Content (Syllabus)
Research is carried out to design and construct an idea in the living space. Parallel support of theoretical analysis.
Design exercises using mixed techniques and a variety of expressive media to achieve different visual outcomes with corresponding conceptual content.
Cultivation of the observation of the human form and its movement in space. Diversification of materials in the creation of plastic sketches with malleable materials such as plaster, different types of clay, plasticine, candles, etc. Viewing the design object as a stand-alone work.
Seminars and lectures related to the representation of the human form in the history of sculpture.
Presentations of contemporary artists and artistic movements.
