Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. To understand the basic principles of digital signal processing. 2. To formulate and solve differences equations. 3. To apply sampling techniques to continuous signals. 4. To describe signals and systems be means of the discrete Fourier transform and the Z transform. 5. To design IIR and FIR filters. 6. To understand the mappings from continuous to discrete time and frequency spaces.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT). Reconstruction of analog signal and spectrum from samples. Relations between the DFT and the Fourier Transform of analog signals. Fast Fourier Transform (FFT). Discrete systems. Digital FIR and IIR filters. Digital filter design. Spectral analysis.
