Course Content (Syllabus)
This course will analyze the methodology of conceiving a research idea, the recording of the research hypothesis and the stages required for the final writing and publication of the research results. The ways of searching and critically reading information specific to human behavior and mental illness, the principles of critical reading of a scientific paper, the design of the research protocol and the definition of primary and secondary objectives will be taught. Also, sampling methods, sample size determination, types of errors, and inclusion and exclusion criteria. The selection of appropriate statistical methods will help in the qualitative and quantitative analysis of medical data. Finally, the process of writing the paper (issues of language formulation, syntax, expressive eurythmia, paraphrase, etc.), the selection of the appropriate scientific journal for publication and the process of responding to the reviewers' comments will be presented.
