Course Content (Syllabus)
General overview of wireless and wired broadband networks.Network design. Routing or broadcasting techniques for multimedia traffic. The broadband local loop: ISDN, ATM, xDSL, FTTH, WiMAX, LTE Broadband Switching theory and devices. Routers for ALL-IP networks. Optical networking. Multimedia Trunks: SDH, WDM, Metro ETHERNET Multimedia Traffic Analysis and QoS: Two Dimensional Traffic Modelling, Multimedia Optimization Techniques Services and Pricing. Standards and Numbering systems.
