General Prerequisites
The Italian language course in level C1/C2, structured towards a unique linguistic-cultural direction, aims at putting the students in a position to master all varieties and registers of the language both orally and in writing, thus expressingthemselves precisely and fluently. At the end of the course the students must prove that they possess a good linguistic competence and a sufficient metalinguistic competence, which should allow them to describe the principal traits of the morphology and syntax of the contemporary Italian language. They should moreover be able to apply the pragmatic rules that preside the use of the language and those stylistic ones to which their creative and poetic work is submitted. Therefore, when entering the course, the knowledge of the basic structures of the morphology of the Italian language is taken for granted.
Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to have acquired knowledge of the Italian Language at an advanced level that will allow them to: 1. to understand without difficulty everything they read or listen to. 2. summarize, through a coherent exposition, information coming from different written and oral sources, reporting the reasons and explanations. 3. express themselves clearly and correctly, with vocabulary appropriate to the contextand with a fluent and spontaneous and well-structured mode, both verbally and in writing, on topics of ordinary complexity 4. to have become familiar with the Italian culture. 5. to have achieved a good development of the skills required both in the cognitive.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Deepening of morphosyntactic structure and enrichment of the lexicon related to the themes of the units in the program(Historical holidays - Fascism and Resistance - Equal opportunities - Immigration - Second generation immigrants - Beauty Aging Report - Alternative Therapies).To manage the communicative acts present in one unit in the program: •Development of the main points of a spoken or written text •Developing business discourse by arguing •Formulation of personal opinion/view. •Relate information, speeches of others •Present and comment on a report with statistical data •Compare two realities •Express hypotheses, probabilities •Recognize and know how to explain metaphors •To intervene in a debate by arguing or counter-arguing •To Understand the point of view of a director and a writer •Evaluate and comment on a film by expressing the emotions experienced •Evaluate and comment on an Italian fiction book •Write a report on a topic •Write an article •Write a letter to a newspaper

Description
The following technological tools will be used: digital book, use of ppt, cd, dvd, video, internet, padlet, kahoot). In addition to the hours of collaboration with the teacher, each student can contact the teacher via e-mail. All the course material will be uploaded to the e-learning platform.

Student Assessment
Description
The purpose of the evaluation is to examine the level of language skills acquired and this is achieved through on written and one oral examination. Students who do not attend classes just present themselves at the final oral and written exams. Students who attend classes shall be examined through progress tests. In case of satisfactory grading by the end of the semester, these students shall not have to take the final written exams. The oral examination will offer students a choice. Those who pass the oral examination may choose to take the written one as well. The final written exams are in the exact form of the progress test. The final grade shall be the average result of the two exams, expresses in a scale of 0-10.
