• gain proficiency in reading authentic texts in English in the field of theatre and drama studies.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Reading authentic texts in English followed by comprehension and vocabulary activities, language exercises, and discussion questions. The texts touch upon various fields of theatre, drama,and performance studies and are taken from a wide variety of sources. Indicative titles of units: Drama, Theatre and Performance, The infinite variety of theatre, Technical definitions, The play text and the performance text, Performance spaces, Stage terms, Reading for performance.
