General Prerequisites
The course presupposes the attendance of the compulsory courses Set Design, Costume Design 2ΣΓ1 and 4ΣΓΙ. These courses provide the practical and theoretical tools such as research and documentation, free and architectural drawing, modeling and digital design.
Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to: • illustrate scenographically a text through the research of historical and social parameters, • recognize the artistic characteristics of the specific era and integrate them into their scenographic proposal, • reinforce the directorial intent.

Course Content (Syllabus)
There are different degrees of difficulty, depending on the text.There are exercises with short extracts from scripts or short stories, so that students try to design a set or different sets as well as the characters’ costumes and approach the general aesthetics of the text. They are also given a whole script with the descriptions of spaces and costumes. We analyse the text and the characters, design the space and costumes (production design and costume design). By the end of the course, students have designed a plastic model of the set and completed the costumes.

Description
Student evaluation includes: • The artistic interpretation and expression, the knowledge of the conditions and contexts that accompany the set design and costume design proposal. • The quality of the research. • The quality of the design • The final presentation and submission of the work at the end of the semester. The final grade is determined: 1. by 60% of the quality of the final work 2. by 40% of its oral presentation by the student. *Participation in practical sessions and tutorials is obligatory
