Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
1). Understand the complexity and structure of the Greek and international market for exercise and recreation.
2). Recognize the elements that make up the concept of service quality in this area.
3). Apply techniques and programs in order acquire and retain customers in exercise and recreation programs.
4). Develop a complete sport marketing plan.
5). Work in teams in order to prepare a sport marketing assignment
Course Content (Syllabus)
The purpose of the lesson is to present the theoretical themes concerning the administration of exercise programs, to analyse the market of exercise as well as to present the contribution of exercise in the quality of life of the modern individual. Furthermore, students will be taught about the basic principals of business administration of exercise programs that take place indoors and outdoors, and, also, about marketing's theory and practice that concerns customers' acquisition and retention in exercise programs. Finally, specific attention will be given to the understanding of consumers' behavior and to the examination of the holistic experience of participants in exercise programs.

a. Final exam
The final exam includes questions of true or false, matches, multiple choice, as well as descriptive questions where it is required not only the knowledge of the lesson but also the critical thinking to determine the ability of students to apply what they learn.
b. Team essay
Students create teams of 2 or 3 individulas. The lecturer will give a specific topi in cooperation with each team. Students have to submit the essay before the day of the exams. The topic of the essay and the submission will take place via e-class.
c. Presentation of team essay
The above essay will be presented in the last week's lecture from the whole team. The presentation file has to be posted, from all the team's members, in the e-class, until the last lecture.
