After completing the module, participants should be able to: • To know that obesity is a particularly important disease for the prevention and treatment of metabolic and cardiovascular diseases. The aim is the in-depth knowledge of epidemiology, pathogenesis, clinical and laboratory evaluation, management of risk factors as well as the correct application of appropriate prevention and therapeutic management strategies.

Description
The evaluation of the course is carried out either by a written exam at the end of the semester through the e-learning platform, or by a written individual work on the subject of the course which is also delivered at the end of the semester. The choice of examination method is defined by the course coordinator. During the written exam, the overall score is reduced to a percentage, taking into account that all questions are of equal value. In the written exam, the overall mark is converted to a percentage, and the work is assessed on the examinee's ability to: - Present basic introductory information (20%) - Use appropriate language and terminology (20%) - Present appropriate research sources (20%) - Draws conclusions from the literature review (20%) - Follow an appropriate structure in the text (20%)
