Course Content (Syllabus)
IFundamentals, the transportation problem. The structure of transport in Greece and other countries, features of travel and traffic. Vehicles, road networks. Terminal facilities (generally). Relations between traffic features sizes. Traffic surveys and measurements. Definition of sampling, precision control. Methodology for carrying out measurements and questionnaire surveys, analysis and presentation of results. Signalling junctions: Basic concepts, signaling calculation fixed time or adaptive from circulation. Calculation coordinated signaling: Traffic data capacity of the road network: Basic concepts, traffic capacity calculation methodology.
