Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the students achieve:
1. the complete familiarization with the environment of AutoCAD, the drafting software application.
2. the understanding and application of drawing templates and layers based on specific standards.
3. the understanding of relative and absolute coordinates and familiarization with different coordinate systems.
4. the creation and modification of simple and composite drawing objects (shapes, polylines e.t.c).
5. the creation and modification of complex arrangements of drawing objects.
6. the insertion and formatting of diemnsions, hatches, and drawing libraries.
7. the insertion of different forms of data (e.g. text, spreadsheet).
8. the export of digital files, handling of viewports, and printing in scale.
Course Content (Syllabus)
omputer-aided Design (CAD) is connected with the usage of computers and new technologies. The course "TECHNICAL DRAWING - CAD" comprises:
- The introduction to the computer-aided design through the features of the AutoCAD drafting environment.
- The creation and modofication of drawings with the help of digital drawing tools. Specifically, the teaching of this course is conducted with the presentation of the software's instructions and then with the implementation of assignments for the inderstanding of the software's commands. Upon the completion of all the assignements and practical applications, the students will master the use of the drafting software's tools.
