Course Content (Syllabus)
The thematic of this course is about the Russian culture and its evolution, with emphasis on the post-Soviet / modern period.
The aim of this course will be the acquaintance of postgraduate students with the multinational / multicultural reality of modern Russia in order for them to develop the basic knowledge and the communication skills for comprehending Russians and the other ethnotic groups.
In particular we will focus on the linguistic and cultural elements which will be examined in a multimodal/qualitative methodology: paradigms will be drawn from Russian-Greek trade and economic trade, such as mass tourism and alternative forms of tourism or other modern forms of business communication. We also focus on the aspects of modern Russian cultural life such as literary texts, music, cinema, etc.
Knowledge of Russian is not necessary, but an introduction will be made to the way Russian-speaking people communicate, in the context of the needs of the course.
