Course Content (Syllabus)
Water Sampling and Water Supply Systems. Estimation of water supply allocation. Design of external and internal water supply network. Methodologies for hydraulic analysis of water supply networks. Sizing of pumping stations, tanks. Connection of pumps in series and in parallel. Technology of water supply pipelines and network components. Water quality - Purification systems. Computer models for hydraulic analysis of water supply networks. Purpose and historical overview of sewerage networks. Technical specifications for the preparation of drainage studies. Network systems - conventional, all-purpose, mixed. Pipeline materials and cross-sections. Calculation of the flow rates of sewers. Methods of calculation, specific sewage flow. Sewerage flow rates. Methods of calculation. Hydraulics of sewers. Simulation of operation of stormwater networks. General layout of sewerage networks. Layout of networks in relation to local conditions. Longitudinal sectioning and slope of pipes. Flow depth, change of slope and cross-sections. Construction details of sewerage networks, engineering works, manholes visiting and rainwater collection wells, etc. General construction drawings of networks sewerage systems. Pumping stations, layout, technical details. Sedimentation pipes and gravity. Specific quality aspects of wastewater. Sewerage technology.
