Learning quantitative methods and utilizing specialized software for analyzing data related to road safety, transportation planning, and management. Understanding fundamental concepts and methodologies for analyzing and assessing road safety levels, as well as implementing appropriate measures and policies for road management in light of quantitative analyses of highly dimensional data. Integrating modern technologies into road management and transportation planning.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Road and environment, road safety – interaction between road, user, and vehicle, quantitative methods in transport engineering and planning, and applications through software packages for data analysis, design of road safety measures and policies, speed management, Artificial Intelligence and smart transportation, Green road engineering and sustainable transportation, resilience of transport infrastructure, and introduction to supply chain and logistics.

Group project assignment and submission for evaluation. Oral presentation of the projects by each group, oral examination by the instructors, and a Q&A session with the other students. Final oral examination.
