Understanding the operation of networks and systems in urban mass transportation. Learning the methods and process for designing, implementing, and evaluating measures and policies for the rational planning of public transport systems. Understanding the process of evaluating the performance of public transport networks. Learning techniques for collecting data on urban mass transit metrics and communication with their users.

Course Content (Syllabus)
The infrastructure, rolling stock, and operational systems of public transport networks. Legal, organizational, and financial framework of urban mass transportation in Greece and Europe. Design of networks and operational systems for urban mass transportation. Measurements and computation of operational metrics for urban mass transportation and communication with their users. Key performance indicators for the evaluation of public transport network operations.
