Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, the students: Will understand the theoretical concepts of regional development, spatial planning, regional inequalities. Will be familiar with the existing European and National regional policy and legislation on spatial planning. Will delve into specific issues of spatial planning and mainly in two geographical units: mountainous areas and marine space.

Course Content (Syllabus)
The concept of development and space. European and National Regional Policy and Spatial Planning. Regional disparities. Legislative framework for national spatial planning. Special issues of spatial planning (Environment, Tourism, Transport, Population, etc.). Development and planning in the mountainous and marine areas.
