Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will have a broad knowledge base of cognitive rehabiltaion methods in neurological and neuropsychiatric disorders and the relative mechanisms of rehabilitation. They will also learn how to conduct empirical research in the field of neuropsychological/cognitive rehabilitation. Furthermore, clinical cases will be presented to help solidify the rehabilitation strategies. In this fashion, the course details will take on clinical relevance, and thus a deeper appreciation of how these methods can be applied in everyday clinical practise.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Basic principles of cognitive rehabilitation, neurological disorders and factors contributing to neurobehavioral recovery. Neuropsychological assessment and approaches to the rehabilitation of attention, memory, executive dyxfunction, impaired awareness and communication.
