Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
- understand the basic concepts and theories related to innovation and research
- design research projects, formulate research questions, develop hypotheses and choose the appropriate methodological approach
- understand the process of developing a research topic and searching for a suitable financial package
- develop skills in managing, organizing, monitoring and evaluating research projects (especially European projects)
- learn how to develop and implement strategies to promote innovation within organizations

Course Content (Syllabus)
The course aims to provide students with the basic knowledge and skills required to successfully design, implement and manage research projects. Students will learn how to develop innovative ideas, plan strategic research projects, and manage resources and research teams to achieve research goals. The above metacognitive skills are mentioned as a structural element in the set of European policies for research and development in education. Basic teaching units are the following: a) Understanding the concept of innovation and its different types. B) Needs diagnosis and research plan design c) Research project management principles d) Human resource management e) Strategic alignment with institutional and organizational goals f) Implementation stages of European research projects and programs g) Time schedule and risk analysis h) Dissemination of results and sustainability i ) Writing and submitting research proposals

Student Assessment
Description
Oral exam in groups at the end of the semester. The exam is conducted by the professor and its results are available to the students. Written exam for special and legally prescribed categories of students. Alternative examination through assignments for foreign students.
