With successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
Recognize all systemic diseases affecting the major salivary glands and the clinical problems they cause.
Identify autoimmune diseases affecting these glands, understanding their clinical appearance, diagnostic approach, and the investigation required when there is no prior diagnosis.
Be familiar with the process of long-term monitoring of these conditions.
Know the recommended symptomatic treatments.

Course Content (Syllabus)
In this course, all systemic diseases affecting the major salivary glands and the clinical problems they cause will be presented. Specifically, autoimmune diseases affecting these glands will be discussed, covering their clinical appearance, diagnostic approach, the investigation required in the absence of a prior diagnosis, long-term monitoring, and recommended symptomatic treatments. Additionally, infectious diseases involving the salivary glands, including viral and bacterial infections, as well as granulomatous diseases, will be addressed.
