Course Content (Syllabus)
During pregnancy, the pregnant woman comes into contact with various infectious agents, in most cases harmless to the fetus. However, there are specific pathogens that are transmitted through the placenta to the fetus, often creating significant problems such as congenital anomalies, growth disorders, miscarriage or intrauterine death, or long-term serious morbidity. Their prevention and early diagnosis in pregnancy is of major importance for the outcome of the pregnancy.
