Learning Outcomes
After the successful completion of the course, it is expected that the students will be able to: • understand, study and design the building envelope to meet the high-energy performance standards, • select and successfully combine the construction materials that align with the structural and construction requirements while achieving the optimum energy performance, • conceive, study, and calculate the energy performance of a building, • study and suggest building construction interventions in order to upgrade the energy performance of an existing building, • provide solutions that will minimise the energy consumption of a building, while achieving a thermally comfort and healthy indoor environment throughout the year, • conduct an energy performance of a building, • carry out a building’s energy audit.
General Competences
  • Apply knowledge in practice
  • Retrieve, analyse and synthesise data and information, with the use of necessary technologies
  • Adapt to new situations
  • Make decisions
