Learning Outcomes
Students learn basic concepts in the areas of innovation, entrepreneurship and IT project management. They become able to (a) exploit their knowledge on digital technologies and personal contacts to develop innovative ideas, (b) develop a business canvas and a relevant business plan, (c) develop a plan and a time schedule for a project, (d) manage a project's risks, (e) apply software quality assurance techniques, (f) recognize and address problematic project situations (anti-patterns) and (g) apply software cost estimation techniques, including Function Point Analysis

Course Content (Syllabus)
Introduction, basic concepts in the area of innovation and entrepreneurship. Business Canvas, Business Plan, Project planning and scheduling. Risk management, quality assurance, software capability maturity models (CMMI). Project management anti-patterns. Software cost estimation methods, parametric models (COCOMO), regression models, probabilistic models, expert judgement methods. Function Point Analysis. Techniques and tools for IT project management.

Project management tools are demonstrated to the students, indicatively: openproj (project scheduling), one-minute risk management tool (risk management)
