The course provides:
· The basic knowledge of multimedia systems
· Familiarization with digitalization and compression
· Familiarization with hyper-texts and digital images
· Familiarization with sound, animation and video production on multimedia systems
· Familiarization with development and evaluation of multimedia applications
· The basic knowledge of the structure and the categories of multimedia applications
· Connection between multimedia applications and Forest and environment Sector

Course Content (Syllabus)
Introduction. Definitions. Structure of a multimedia application. Multimedia infrastructure. Phases for the development and assessment of a multimedia application. Picture (capture, types, formatting, storage). Sound (introduction, process). Animation (introduction, 3D modelling, movement), Video (introduction, adjustment, process). Selection and use of software for the development of a multimedia application in forestry and environment (basic features, categories, applications types, programming).
