General Prerequisites
Upon the successful completion of the course, students should be able to comprehend and compose texts with the special characteristics of academic speech. Moreover, they should be able to write a short paper with correct use of references.
Learning Outcomes
Upon the successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
• search the bibliography of their field
• write a short paper discussing selected bibliograply (1500-2000 words)
• write their references properly
• paraphrase their references
• present their paper in audience, discuss details and anwer to questions.

Course Content (Syllabus)
In the course “Greek Language for foreign students, 3rd circle" (C2 level), the academic variety of greek language is taught through a variety of genres.
Upon the successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
• conduct research to compose an annotated bibliography
• express their opinion with clarity and logical arguments
• prepare and defend oppositions
• comprehend multimodal texts with statistics, diagrams etc.
• recognize and use elements of morphology and syntax found in academic language (e.g. literary use of genitive case, simple past of passive voice coming from Ancient Greek and simple past passive participles)

Description
Four language skills' evaluation (listening, reading, speaking, writing) according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment 2001. Council of Europe, Cambridge University Press, http://www.coe.int/t/dg4/education/elp/elp-reg/Source/Key_reference/CEFR_EN.pdf. Due to the interactive character of teaching there is the possibility to evaluate students during class.
