Learning Outcomes
Students will be able to know about radioactive iodine treatment: The indications for radioactive iodine treatment in benign thyroid diseases and thyroid cancer, the method of administration and the instructions that must be given to the patients about the complications and understanding of the treatment. Students will also familiarize themselves with other Treatments: All alternative methods of treatment of the various types of thyroid cancer will be presented and analyzed, mainly involving chemotherapy but also various methods with the help of ultrasound or CT for local treatment.
