Learning Outcomes
Students will understand the negative impact of overconsumption of antibiotics, the phenomenon of antimicrobial resistance, resistant/multiresistant/ultraresistant bacteria will be analyzed, epidemiological data and will be able to implement measures to limit antimicrobial resistance and choose empiric antimicrobial therapy by applying microbiological documentation of infections. The importance of early de-escalation of empiric treatment, the criteria for choosing an antibiotic from the antibiogram, the dosage and time of treatment, the application of guidelines and the indications of prophylactic treatment will be studied
