AFTER THE END OF THE COURSE STUDENTS WILL DEVELOP KNOWLEDGE ABOUT: • Introduction to Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and the Internet. • Historical development, theoretical approach, national and global trends in e-tourism. • Advantages and disadvantages of internet use and smart ICT applications and services for tourist destinations, tourists and businesses, • smart devices, multimedia in tourism, use of multimedia and augmented reality applications in museums • E-commerce and tourism. Design, development and content creation of a business tourism website • Evaluation of a tourist website, evaluation of the degree of ICT penetration in a tourist structure • Good practices for the operation of an online business website for tourism - case studies • New Media, Web 2.0 - Participatory Web and Tourism • Utilization of social media on the Internet for tourism development and good practices • General Regulation on Personal Data in the Area of Tourism • Social Media metrics for tourist units profiles • Understand the potential of YouTube
