Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, students will have acquired the knowledge and skills to carry out ergometric assessment tests on people with disabilities or with special educational needs, as well as the utilization of the information offered by the international literature, regarding biological adaptations and performance measured in untrained or trained individuals with disabilities or special educational needs.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Test, measurement and evaluation. Scientific test criteria. Work measurement, basic and special ergometers. Measurement and assessment of aerobic capacity in untrained and trained individuals with disabilities or special educational needs. Analysis of scientific articles. Measurement of aerobic capacity with upper and/or lower extremity tests Laboratory applications for measuring and evaluating aerobic capacity in people with disabilities or special educational needs. The effect of immobilization and disability on aerobic capacity. Analysis of scientific articles. Measurement of respiratory function in people with disabilities or special educational needs. Measurement of aerobic capacity and other components of physical fitness with field tests, in people with disabilities or special educational needs. Measurement and assessment of muscle strength in people with disabilities or special educational needs. Analysis of scientific articles. Laboratory applications for measuring and evaluating muscle strength in people with disabilities or special educational needs. Body composition analysis methods. Measuring and evaluating the gross mobility of people with disabilities. Analysis of modern research data, from measurements and assessment of biological parameters in people with disabilities or special educational needs.
