Learning Outcomes
(a) To recognize and diagnose malocclusions of the teeth and the overall dentofacial complex, as well as dysfunctions of the stomatognathic system. (b) To apply preventive, interceptive, or therapeutic treatment to address the aforementioned anomalies through tooth movements or by controlling the growth of the dentofacial complex using orthodontic or orthopedic forces, respectively. (c) To collaborate with other specialists in the diagnosis and management of cases involving skeletal dentofacial dysplasias, craniofacial anomalies, and patients with occlusal problems whose treatment requires cooperation with other dental and medical specialties or disciplines.
