Learning Outcomes
During the course, the students are expected to:
understand the necessity and utility of the critical mineral raw materials, i.e. metals of modern technology and green energy
understand the conditions of formation of the deposits of critical raw materials and their relationship with the geotectonic environments and geological processes
recognize the types of deposits of the critical raw materials
combine the various data (geological, petrographic, mineralogical, geochemical) for interpretation of the metallogenic models of the critical raw materials.
Course Content (Syllabus)
General principles and terminology related to critical raw materials
Deposits of the rare earth elements
