Course Content (Syllabus)
The course is designed to familiarize graduate students with the methodology for writing and presenting scientific and technical reports in geophysical topics. Emphasis is placed on the correct structure and appearance of a scientific work a technical report and a thesis as well as to the correct use of scientific resources and referral process. Additional topic involves the process of preparing and submitting a work into a scientific journal and clarification of the procedure of the reviewing process. Students also are taught good practices for the presentation of scientific results in an audience. Students are asked to write a literature review Writing assignment in a selected geophysical subject and to present in front of an audience.
