Learning Outcomes
Students learn the basic principles of engineering geological field survey and how to organize and prepare a relevant field work.
They will be able to identify and delineate geohazards at site scale
They are taught to describe geomaterials i.e., rocks and soils.
To conduct an engineering geology mapping.
To apply rock mass classification schemes.
To provide an understanding of the field process from site assessment through gathering of appropriate data, to interpretation and ultimately presentation of that data.

Preparation of an engineering geological-oriented field survey
Recording and collecting data during the field survey
Geohazard assessment at the field
Rockmass classification
Engineering geology mapping
Assessment, interpretation and presentation of the collected data.
Studying the rock slopes (classification, discontinuities)
