Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to understand: 1. The theory and research in Biotechnology, 2. Current biotechnology practices, including genomics, epigenomics and their modification using CRISPR/Cas9 technology, proteomics, metabolomics, gene editing, stem cell culture, the creation of transgenic animals, electron and confocal microscopy, flow cytometry for cell population identification and sorting, the design and development of gene therapy vectors, and the development of cellular therapy products. 3. Large-scale data analysis and meta-analysis in omics sciences, 4. The analysis, writing, and effective communication of scientific data. Throughout the course, students will engage in practical exercises, discussions, and assignments related to each lecture topic. By the end of the course, they will have gained a comprehensive understanding of research techniques, preparing them for entry into laboratory work and the successful completion of their thesis research.

Course Content (Syllabus)
The course aims to expose students to innovative laboratory and analytical methods applied in the broader field of Biotechnology. It provides a comprehensive overview of current research, with a focus on various aspects such as genetics, proteomics, genomics, and epigenetics. A series of lectures will cover the theoretical background, with the ultimate goal of familiarizing students with modern biotechnology practices, emphasizing cutting-edge techniques widely used in laboratories and research institutions worldwide. Through hands-on experience, students will enhance their experimental skills, collaboration abilities, and scientific writing, as well as develop effective communication of scientific knowledge. Finally, the course will include practical exercises, where students will be required to design and describe a complete research protocol, analyzing the necessary experimental techniques. This will aim to strengthen critical thinking in research and innovation.
