Learning Outcomes
The course aims to provide the foundational knowledge for understanding the molecular processes underlying the development of malignancies, so that students can successfully participate in related research and applications. Specifically, the following learning objectives are expected: 1. Critical understanding of the fundamental deviations from normal molecular processes in carcinogenesis: Students will gain a deep understanding of the molecular changes and processes that lead to the development of malignant cells, from excessive growth and the inability to eliminate damaged cells to the loss of normal cellular behavior.2. Designing experimental procedures to identify molecular differences between normal and malignant cells: Students will learn how to design experiments to analyze and compare molecular differences between normal and malignant cells, focusing on markers that can be used for early detection.3. Designing experimental procedures to evaluate the significance of identified molecular differences between normal and malignant cells: Students will develop the skills to assess the functional importance of the molecular differences they identify between normal and cancerous cells. 4. Critical evaluation of publications in molecular oncology: Students will acquire the ability to critically evaluate scientific literature in the field of molecular oncology, improving their ability to stay up-to-date with the latest research and advances in the field.

Course Content (Syllabus)
The course is designed to provide cutting-edge theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of molecular oncology and its applications. The course focuses on the critical analysis of the molecular mechanisms underlying the development of malignancies and their deviation from normal processes. Emphasis is also placed on the impact and exploitation of the knowledge accumulated in the field of molecular oncology for diagnostic, prognostic, and therapeutic purposes.
