Learning Outcomes
This course explores contemporary pedagogical theories, practices, and issues with a focus on their relevance and application in Physical Education (PE) teaching. It aims to provide students with critical insights into current educational challenges such as inclusive education, motivation in learning, and classroom and behavior management. Special attention is given to the role of the PE teacher as a pedagogical agent across diverse educational environments. Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to: a) Understand the fundamental components of the pedagogical process (i.e., issues related to teaching and learning), as well as the characteristics of the key participants in this process (teacher and student). b) Possess the essential scientific knowledge and foundational competencies required to function effectively as pedagogues in practice, within any educational context involving children and adolescents.

Student Assessment
Description
The assessment and grading criteria and methods are included in the course syllabus and are also announced verbally during the first lecture. Students who attend the course regularly have the option to participate in a midterm progress assessment, which consists of multiple-choice questions based on the course material. This assessment may contribute up to 20% of the final grade. For both students who participate in the midterm and those who do not, written final examinations are administered. These consist of short-answer questions and account for 80% of the final grade for those who completed the midterm, or 100% for those who did not.
