Course Content (Syllabus)
The course aims to:
1. Familiarity with the structure of the musculoskeletal system.
2. Understanding the circulatory system.
3. Understanding the respiratory system.
4. Understanding the nervous system.
Week Content Learning Outcomes
1st week Introduction to the science of Anatomy. Presentation of basic concepts and terminologies of Anatomy. Understanding of the theoretical basis of the science of Anatomy.
2nd week Introduction to the Osteology of the skull (splanchnic and cerebral). Understanding of all anatomical structures (bones) of the skull.
3rd week Introduction to the Osteology of the spine (cervical, thoracic, lumbar and sacrococcygeal). Understanding of all anatomical structures of the spine (atlas, axis, vertebrae, sacrum, coccyx).
4th week Introduction to the Osteology of the thoracic cage (ribs, clavicle, sternum, scapula). Understanding all anatomical structures of the rib cage.
5th Weak Introduction to the Osteology of the upper limb (humerus, radius, ulna, hand). Understanding all anatomical structures of the upper limb.
6th Week Introduction to the Osteology of the pelvis (the two innominate bones – ilium, pubis, ischium). Understanding all anatomical structures of the pelvic bone.
7th Week Introduction to the Osteology of the lower limb (femur, tibia, fibula, patella, foot). Understanding all anatomical structures of the lower limb.
8th Week Introduction to the Joints of the four main joints of the human skeleton (globohumerus, elbow, hip, knee). Understanding all the ligaments involved in the four major joints (glombrochial, elbow, hip, knee).
9th Week Introduction to Myology of the Head and Neck. Understanding all the muscles of the head and neck.
10th Week Introduction to Myology of the Thoracic and Pelvic Bones. Understanding all the muscles of the Thoracic and Pelvic Bones.
11th Week Introduction to Myology of the Upper Limb. Understanding all the muscles of the upper limb.
12th Week Introduction to Myology of the Lower Limb. Understanding all the muscles of the lower limb.
13th Week Introduction to the Nervous, Respiratory and Circulatory Systems. Understanding the Nervous, Respiratory and Circulatory Systems.
