Land parcel/geographic area survey and land status retrieval (forest/non forest)

Course Content (Syllabus)
Introduction and general principles, Forest Cadastre and its evolvment over time, legal definitions of forests and forestlands, elements of chartography, photogrammetry, and photo-intepretation, land use/land cover characterization, forest ownership, framework of Forest Maps, means and methods for Forest Map development, Forest Maps and Cadastre, Forest Maps web-based applications

Description
Lecture attendances Delivery of exercises and projects Written examination or via e-learning The course assessment consist of lectures, written exams and laboratory exercises. The presence to laboratory exercises is compulsory as well as a work assignment in order for the students to participate to the exams. The theory exams include lecture topics while the laboratory assignment is based on site measurements and is grade separately. The final grade result from: 1. Theory grade 70% 2. Laboratory work grade 30%
