Course Content (Syllabus)
The course is part of the module of courses that aim to offer dexterities for teaching mathematics in Secondary Education.
Basic notions (natural, rational and real numbers, mathematical induction, completeness of the real numbers) - Sequences of real numbers (limits at infinity and properties, monotonic and bounded sequences, limit points and subsequences, limsup and liminf, Cauchy sequences, Blozano Weierstrass theorem) - Real
functions (Limits, Continuity, intermediate value theorem and properties of continuous functions in closed intervals) - The Derivative (Applications of the derivative, chain rule, Implicit differentiation, mean value theorem, L'Hospital rule, convex and concave functions) - Study of functions with the use of derivatives.
