General Prerequisites
The students should have basic knowledge in phonology, morphology and syntax of German language.
Learning Outcomes
Students are expected to:
• understand theories and models of language production and processing
• be able to describe psycholinguistic and neurolinguistic research methods
• identify and interpret phenomena in language production and processing (e.g. processing of ambiguous sentences, tip-of-the-tongue phenomena)
• learn brain regions which are relevant for language production and comprehension

Course Content (Syllabus)
This course aims at introducing the basic questions of psycho- and neurolinguistics. In particular, models of language production and comprehension at the sentence and word level will be discussed. Moreover, we will describe the mapping of language processes on the brain. Based on this we will discuss language impairments. Examples from the Greek and German language will be used for the justification of the models. Finally, we will touch upon methodological issues.
