Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to recognize the various feeds their properties and formulate rations for various species of animals.
• The will be able to formulate rations for different species of productive animals, monogastric (pigs - poultry) and ruminants (cattle, sheep, goats)
• They will be able to formulate diets for pets such as dogs and cats or domestic animals such as horses

Course Content (Syllabus)
4 hours Identification of main concentrated feeds, of plant, animal, inorganic and synthetic origin. Raw material preparations for ration formulation of complete feeds
4 hours Ensilage of feedstuffs – visits of ruminants’ farms
2 hours Ration formulation for broiler chickens
2 hours Ration formulation for layer hens
2 hours Ration formulation for pigs
3 hours Ration formulation for cattle
3 hours Ration formulation for cattle
3 hours Ration formulation for small ruminants
3 hours Ration formulation for small ruminants
2 hours Ration formulation for rabbits
