Learning Outcomes
After successfully completing the course students will be able to: Communicate as educators creative and fertile with their students, to face them in a pedagogically correct way,to manage the classroom with pedagogical criteria, to know the way, the stages and the difficulties of the personal-cognitive-social and moral development of the pupils, to distinguish the role of environment and heredity in student's development, to know the learning theories, to promote interpersonal relationships in the classroom, to manage effectively the pedagogical issues that arise and to evaluate properly and objectively themselves and their students and to be informed about the methods of Social research in Pedagogy

Course Content (Syllabus)
The aim of the course is to make students able, through their theoretical training, to deal with their educational issues in a pedagogically appropriate manner. In order to achieve this objective, the main principles of Pedagogical Psychology are included. 1. The history of Pedagogy- The purpose and the necessity of education 2.Social Research methods in the field of Pedagogical Science , 3.Heredity vs Socialization: pedagogy and environment (family, society, church, institutions, interpersonal relationships), 4.Children's personal, cognitive, social and moral development, 5. Intelligence, 6.Motivation and learning theories, 7. Pedagogical relationships between teacher and student, 8. Pedagogical issues (social exclusion, illiteracy, interculturalism etc), 9. student's behavior and classroom management, 10. Contemporary educational methods, 11.Pedagogy and Education Sciences 12.Social Pedagogy and Pedagogy of otherness, 13. Lifelong learning.
